C.J. Carey is a pen name of Jane Thynne. She was born in Venezuela and educated in London. She graduated from Oxford University with a degree in English and joined the BBC as a journalist. She has also worked at The Sunday Times, The Daily Telegraph and The Independent, as well as for numerous British magazines.

Enjoy a selection of teas and discuss a blend of historical and contemporary fiction at the CFPL Fowler Branch in West Concord. Copies of the selected book, Widowland by C.J. Carey, are available at Fowler. Weather permitting, we will meet outside in Fowler's backyard. Otherwise, we will meet in the Fowler Meeting Room.
